Our Plans
Green, open spaces for all to enjoy
The protection and creation of green spaces are two of the key design principles for the Woodhall development. The main green parkland outside the community hub is already established, and we will rejuvenate the existing orchard. There are several play areas planned, with different types of equipment for different ages and including open space to encourage children to play outside with and in nature.

Norton Hall Parkland
Norton Hall Parkland at the eastern end of the site will be an area of the Woodhall community where neighbours can gather and enjoy a well-maintained green area.
There will also be wildflower grassland to sustain and provide habitats for local wildlife, and the historic 19th-century fishpond will remain a vital part of the ecosystem.
As well as many new footpaths across the site, there is an existing Public Right of Way which the development has the potential to improve. This currently runs directly through the gardens of homes on Woodbury Park and is inconvenient to both residents and walkers. Working together with residents, the plan is to move this footpath away from the gardens. This will improve access for new and existing residents in the area and will provide a walk for everyone to enjoy.
Woodhall Barns and Orchard
At the heart of the Woodhall neighbourhood will be the Woodhall barns and orchard.
The development will sensitively restore and replace the barns so that they can be used for the benefit of Woodhall’s residents as a village centre, complementing the wider Worcestershire Parkway town centre a short walk away. The barns could become a café, farm shop, pop-up brewery or a creche, or something else entirely – we will work with the community to hear what they’d like to see in this space.
The nearby orchard will be preserved, and new trees will be planted to bring a fresh burst of colour and development as the trees grow and mature.

Facilities to create a good life for residents
A new local primary school will allow children in the community to attend school just a short walk away from their homes and will help to foster a local, community spirit. There will be safe walking and cycling routes directly to the school provided.
Sports facilities such as state-of-the-art sports pitches will help embed healthy habits, and younger children will be able to enjoy the innovative play facilities exploring the outdoors.
Creating local jobs
A key ambition of our new neighbourhood is to create a range of employment opportunities for people close to where they live. This will span town centre employment across office, retail and leisure uses as well as a major new employment zone close to the junction of the M5. With easy public transport access to Worcester as well, the new residents will boost the existing local economy and encourage local businesses to grow.
The focus of the employment space at Woodhall will be to facilitate a growing demand for high-quality logistics and industrial use These will also include office and research and development functions to support their primary operations of distribution and advanced manufacturing, providing a wide variety of jobs.
